Bi-Cultural Hebrew Academy students from the fifth grade class, of both Mrs. Robinson and Mrs. Rosenblum, created a truly impressive Hall of Veterans in honor of Veteran’s Day. Stations were set up throughout both classrooms as well as the fifth-grade hallway, displaying authentic soldier uniforms and a variety of artifacts, including army-issued Siddurim, Haggadot and a kiddush cup. The students each researched and prepared an area of expertise, including the history of all branches of the military, the significance of the Purple Heart, Uncle Sam and important women in service, just to name a few. The students presented their information to grades three through six, as well as to a large number of parent visitors. The grade was also lucky to have two veterans visit, Navy Captain Paul Gerrard and Army Captain David Kaplan. The event was both informative and inspiring. BCHA is so grateful to all our veterans, as well as our current servicemen and women, who protect our country.
