Yagilu campers built survival shelters using sticks and moss. Then each camper slept one night in his shelter and had quite the amazing night in the woods. In Yagilu Wilderness the campers went on a three day, 30 mile hike, covering over 15 miles in their first day alone.
They climbed up Buttermilk Falls, the tallest waterfall in the state of New Jersey and continued up to Sunrise Mountain and Rattlesnake Mountain. The views from the top of the ridge were astounding! In YNature, the division for boys age 10-12, the campers took a challenging hike at Sam’s Point and visited ice caves and hiked along a waterfall. This week the camp season wrapped up with an amazing celebration BBQ with great music and friends. Registration for 2024 opens soon at yagilu.com
