In preparation for the Yamim Noraim, Bruriah students were privileged to hear divrei Torah from Rav Hanoch Teller, world renowned speaker and author. Rav Teller began by discussing the gedolim of the previous generation, specifically the Chafetz Chaim and Rav Chaim Ozer Grodzinsky, and how they inspired each person who encountered them to act with tzidkus and kedusha. Rav Teller painted an extraordinary picture of these two gedolim, and Bruriah students were given just a small glimpse into the greatness that the generations past were fortunate to witness.

Laying the groundwork for exemplary behavior, Rav Teller went on to discuss how our own actions should likewise be exemplary and be done with the proper intention. Rav Teller gave examples of buying an expensive food item l’kavod shabbos or buying a large house for hachnosas orchim, and said that as long as such actions are done with Hashem in mind, our actions will be blessed. This message helped students gain a deeper understanding into teshuva as they reflect on past actions and how they can improve in the coming year. Senior Bracha Berlin felt inspired for the days ahead: “Rav Teller’s words were incredibly engaging and entertaining, and his messages felt particularly relevant and within reach.”
