Linking Northern and Central NJ, Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester and CT

Westchester Torah Academy marked October 7 with a heartfelt program alongside the middle school students at WTA, joined by parents and grandparents. The day began with Shacharit and Selichot, where special prayers were included for the occasion, incorporating both Ashkenazi and Sephardi traditions. Students then heard inspiring stories of heroes who made a profound impact on that day. Some classmates shared the stories of Gali Eilon, Ambulance 54, and Aner Shapira z”l. Together, students sang mi sheberach for the chayalei Tzahal and concluded with Hatikvah. Later, we had the privilege of meeting two chayalim, who spoke about their program for lone soldiers. Hearing their personal experiences was not only interesting but also relatable, especially since many of us have family members in the IDF. The entire program was deeply meaningful, leaving us with the powerful message of “yachad ne’natzeach—together we will win!”
