In an ongoing effort to proactively address the challenges of technology facing students, Bruriah Head of Guidance Dr. Shoshana Friedman recently held an interactive conference call for parents.
During the call, Dr. Friedman shared valuable information about the impact of technology on youth today as well as specific feedback, based upon ongoing sessions she has had with students regularly over the course of the school year.
Parents were encouraged to submit questions in advance of the call, which were addressed during the comprehensive session, and Dr. Friedman offered relevant and tangible tips to help establish healthy boundaries with technology, for students and families alike.
The call was well-attended and Zehava Greenwald, Bruriah’s junior high coordinater, commented afterwards,“I really believe that the most effective way of helping our girls become digitally responsible is by focusing on the school-home partnership. Last evening was an example of this relationship that I hope to continue and build upon in the future.”
