This week Mrs. Taub’s fifth grade students wrapped up their unit on the Revolutionary War with a special game that put their new knowledge (and spy skills) to the test.
In the game, students embarked on a spy mission, answering trivia questions about the Road to the Revolution and key events of the war. The final challenge involved decoding and delivering a secret message to George Washington, using a cipher code just like the Culper Spy Ring.
Students got to experience tactics and intelligence strategies that played a crucial role in the Revolution. Through teamwork and problem-solving, they gained a deeper appreciation for the role of spies in securing American independence.
