Last week, the Kazmir Family hosted a NORPAC pro-Israel private dinner to support Senator Ben Cardin (D-MD) at their home in Closter.
Ben Cardin is a senior member and former ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations committee. He was one of four members of his party in the Senate to vote against the Iran deal in 2015, despite tremendous pressure from the administration to do otherwise. In March 2017, Cardin co-introduced, along with Sen. Portman (R-OH), the bipartisan Israel Anti-Boycott Act, legislation to further combat the anti-Israel boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) movement. The bill would formally state Congress’s opposition to the UNHRC resolutions to create a “blacklist” and boycott Israel, and it would take steps to protect U.S. companies from being pressured to boycott Israel.
Ben Cardin is currently serving his second term in the U.S. Senate and will be running for re-election this year. His primary election will be held in June.
