Chanukah was as busy as ever this year at TABC. Like most high schools in the area, TABC has a “three grades in, one grade out” model during COVID times. That meant each day of Chanukah needed to be jam-packed so no one missed out. First on the agenda was a Student Council-sponsored Chanukah auction and latke fest for each grade. Students bid on fun prizes, like a prime parking spot and a sushi lunch for four with Head of School Rabbi Adelman. Half the proceeds from the auction went to tzedaka, while the rest of them will be put toward programming later in the year.
Another day, students enjoyed brunch and the magical stylings of Shlomo Levinger, who entertained the students with his sleight of hand and clever games. On Friday, Hollyrock Entertainment ran their popular Brain Challenge Game Show for the students (and some brave teachers, as well) while they enjoyed traditional sufganiyot and a dance contest.
And instead of Thursday’s previously scheduled Panoply with Holy Schnitzel, TABC students enjoyed a good old fashioned snow day instead!
