Sixth and seventh grade Bruriah girls enjoyed a fabulous day in Philadelphia. The first stop, Franklin Institute, was both fun and educational. The girls enjoyed various shows and exhibits about electricity, sports, air, the human brain and more. A visit to the planetarium taught everyone about the four seasons and how the earth revolves and rotates around the sun. What is a visit to Philadelphia without a stop at the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall? The girls learned about the first 10 years of the U.S. government and visited where the Declaration of Independence and Constitution were signed. Before heading home, they stopped to daven Mincha at Congregation Mikveh Israel, which was founded in 1740!
