The RYNJ cafeteria was packed with students and family members who came out to participate in First Grade Family Math Night. They had the opportunity to practice math skills they are learning in the classroom at 5 rotating math centers. Each class also participated in an estimation jar challenge, in which each class had their own container of jelly beans and had to estimate how many were in each—with the student in each class who was the closest winning the entire jar. It was a great night of math fun!
