This past Sunday, Naaleh held its inaugural Nagila production. Students from all four grades had the opportunity to participate in the choir, dance and ensemble, all focused around the theme of “New Beginnings.” Behind the scenes, students led the production by designing a banner, creating playbills and selling tickets. Before the production started, Naaleh hosted a pre-Pesach boutique with local vendors which attracted many community members. At 7:30 p.m., the production began, and Nagila was officially sold out with over 250 women present! The choir performed four beautiful songs, each with various solos and harmonies. In between were four incredible dances, each with a different theme of “New Beginnings.” Ensemble combined singing and dancing into one incredible performance. Throughout the process, the girls worked hard, had fun and created new friendships. After six weeks of incredibly hard work, the overwhelming feeling among the participants was one of camaraderie and pride in themselves and each other. The production could not have happened without Elie Rubin and Laya Kaufman, who guided the students throughout the entire process. Naaleh is blown away by its students’ beautiful performance and can’t wait for future productions!
