The month of Adar brought a palpable sense of simcha to Bnos Aliya, as students immersed themselves in the spirit of Purim with joy, excitement and meaningful celebration. In the days leading up to the yom tov, the girls enthusiastically prepared for the four mitzvos of the day—Mikra Megillah, Matanos L’evyonim, Mishloach Manos and Seudas Purim—bringing the lessons of Megillas Esther to life with heart and energy.

Following Purim, students returned to school on Shushan Purim for a fun-filled day of dress-up, a spirited Mishloach Manos exchange, and a fun science show. Meir Licht enthralled the crowd with his “Explosive Science” presentation, featuring color-changing solutions, dry ice experiments, smoke-filled bubbles and fiery demonstrations that delighted students across every grade level.

The simcha continued on Wednesday with a festive Purim carnival organized by the middle school girls as a beautiful display of achdus and leadership. Booths included popcorn, a “guess how many chocolate chips” challenge, face painting and a bean bag toss. The celebration concluded with each student receiving a delicious puff pastry Hamentashen to take home—a sweet reminder of the neis we commemorate each year!
