Bonei Olam Holds Bergen County Fundraiser

(Courtesy of Bonei Olam) On Thursday night, September 19, the Bergen County community came together to support the annual Bonei Olam Bergen County fundraiser for local couples seeking help with various fertility obstacles. The event was hosted at Keter Torah and uniquely geared towards supporting families from the Bergen County community.

The event’s focus was two fold: to raise awareness about the important work that Bonei Olam does in helping to build Jewish families, and to raise money for the local couples working with the organization for fertility treatment.

Chinese auction

The night featured a hot fleishig buffet including an assortment of meat pizzas and salads by Petaks Catering, and mixed cocktail drinks by Bar Simcha. There was also an exciting Chinese Auction with fun prize packages.

The crowd was addressed by the esteemed founder of Bonei Olam Rabbi Schlomo Bochner, who spoke about the importance of the Bergen County community showing up for those in their own community struggling to start families of their own. It was followed by a video presentation of a personal story of a couple who had a child with Bonei Olam’s help.

Intake

The event featured renowned cookbook author and blogger Busy in Brooklyn, Chanie Apfelbaum, who entertained the audience with a cooking demo, sharing her secret tips in the kitchen. Attendees enjoyed Shlomo Levinger’s magic tricks while eating their delicious dinner at their tables.

Bonei Olam gives a special thanks to Bergen County liaison Sarah Bram for her talent and time in running this event, as well as to the volunteers and corporate sponsors for their support.

Bonei Olam’s goal is to reach $250,000 so that we can say yes to every local couple who seeks their help. Please help us reach our goal by donating to boeniolam.org/bergencounty.
