It’s no secret that recent issues of this newspaper have featured letters from staunch supporters of Kamala Harris. This perturbs me greatly, but what I truly cannot abide is how proud these voters seem; how utterly jubilant they are in broadcasting their support for such a weak and dangerous candidate.

How nice it must be to be a Democrat in today’s America. You can say whatever you like without fear of being canceled or fired. You can turn on virtually any news channel or open virtually any newspaper and consume news you like, news that is lopsidedly positive for your candidate. All the levers of power are stacked in your candidate’s favor: the legacy media, Hollywood celebrities, fact-checkers, etc.—all obstacles the other candidate must overcome. Nobody’s going to egg your house for having a Kamala sign on your lawn; nobody’s going to key your car for having a Harris bumper sticker. What a way to go through life!

My question is simple: Why? What makes you so proud to support Kamala Harris? What has she done to earn your favor?

Did you know she looked at the maps and determined that the poor Palestinians in Rafah have nowhere else to go? That very place she warned the Israelis not to go is the very place where Hersh Goldberg-Polin and five other hostages were found, just recently murdered. Does that make you proud? She tapped Ilan Goldberg, a pro-Iranian anti-Zionist “Jew,” to be her Israel liaison. You like that choice?

The Democratic party—so certain of their higher ideals and adherence to democracy—handed her the nomination after winning zero delegates. But you don’t have to listen to my opinion on that issue; listen to Gavin Newsom, Democrat royalty, who lamented the lack of democracy in his party on Pod Save America. He claims the party elites ran a 30-minute online primary. Listen to Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., Democrat royalty, who abandoned his party for its lack of democracy and suppression of free speech. The Democratic party so democratically sought to remove Donald Trump from some ballots and keep Kennedy on other ballots. Is this the kind of democracy you loudly support?

Mark Zuckerberg recently admitted that the Biden/Harris campaign repeatedly pressured Facebook to censor COVID-19 content and to suppress the Hunter Biden laptop story. Ms. Harris is on record calling for Donald Trump to be removed from social media platforms. She has stated that she will hold social media platforms accountable because they have a responsibility to help fight against threats to her personal interpretation of democracy. Are you in favor of these attacks on free speech?

As one letter stated last week, Kamala Harris’s voting record was either the farthest or second farthest left during her Senate term. Is there no such thing as too far left?

She wants to implement a 25% tax on unrealized capital gains and cap grocery prices, policies so destructive that not a single economist will go on record supporting them. Would you?

The Democratic party has tried for years to increase the minimum wage to $15/hour despite the hugely negative impact on small businesses. They have subsidized electric vehicle production in a twisted effort to combat climate change; their efforts are expected to have a negligible impact on the climate while simultaneously costing our automobile industry billions of dollars. They have pressured companies to adopt DEI policies, which have ruined the quality and reputation of numerous once-admired brands. Do you like those policies? Does it make you proud that there’s a good chance that one of your very Jewish very white sons will lose out on a promotion to a less qualified DEI candidate?

I could go on and on, but I want to conclude with one final thought. I had hoped we were finally done with this nonsense after the DNC, but during last week’s debate, Ms. Harris once again peddled the Fine People Hoax, the most vicious, disgusting and divisive lie in the history of American politics, a lie that has been repeatedly debunked by even left-wing sources, a lie you could so easily debunk yourself just by watching two minutes of the Charlottesville speech. Does it make you happy when your candidate promulgates such vitriolic filth? Are you proud to support it?

You shouldn’t be. You should be ashamed.

I’ll tell you how I, a proud Jewish Republican, feel when my candidate is the recipient of vile lies, of hoax after hoax. I’ll tell you how I feel when my candidate is the target of laws created just to imprison him. I’ll tell you how I feel when my candidate is in the sights of not one but two assassins.

I feel hunted.

You’re not just targeting him; you’re targeting me.
