Linking Northern and Central NJ, Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester and CT

Bruriah observed Yom HaZikaron with a beautiful program led by the student AISAC committee chairs Senior Rosa Miodownik and Junior Tziporah Krimsky. The program began with communal Tehillim followed by a beautiful video commemorating the victims of terror, z”l. Then, the AISAC committee members read letters written by soldiers killed in Gaza. These letters to their families, intended to be read only in the event of their deaths, were poignant, soul-stirring and so honest. Feeling the weight of the enormity of these losses, students were then given the opportunity to channel these feelings into learning. Students joined together for chaburah style learning, with each chaburah learning about a different soldier and a particular middah they embodied in their lives.

Bruriah celebrated Yom Ha’Atzmaut on Thursday with a trip to Eagles Landing in North Brunswick. Students and faculty spent the day outside bonding over mini-golf, ping pong, kickball, volleyball, basketball, softball, football, and a delicious barbecue.
