Bruriah Art Department Virtual Gallery Shares Beauty

Bruriah High Schools’ art department has gone virtual, moving many of the pieces of student art online to share beauty and build connection with students. Exploring ideas and experimenting with materials in conjunction with critical thinking are fundamental to the art making process. The Bruriah art studio, led by Bari Rifkin, is student centered; a space that allows for each student to grow at her own pace.

Fine art and studio art classes are 12th grade electives that students commit to for the full school year. Fine art is a class that focuses on the fundamentals and gives students a chance to make art in the course of their week. Studio art is an independent study comprised of advanced art students who have a solid grasp on the fundamentals and are working on skills and concepts.

The Bruriah art department virtual gallery was created during this time apart in an effort to bring art to its students and families.
