Bruriah Challenges Junior High Students With iCan Scavenger Hunt Over Vacation

The Bruriah experience is an immersive one and students are encouraged to maintain the values they learn and protocols for daily living that they absorb even during vacation. With the winter break underway, Bruriah Junior High students were challenged to continue their personal growth and development through the iCan program, which the division launched during the Yom Iyun in memory of JEC founder HaRav Pinchas Mordechai Teitz, zt”l, a few weeks ago. The program outlined how every small action has the potential for big impact and before leaving for vacation students were provided with a list of actionable items to work on. Some of the actions included showing gratitude in different ways, including parents, siblings and most importantly, Hashem, assisting with household chores and sibling care and reaching out to those who could use a pick-me-up with something as basic as a simple smile. The challenge was framed as a scavenger hunt with students eligible to win prizes based upon the number of items on the list that they complete over the break.
