Bruriah’s annual Club Fair brings together all student-led clubs, committees and organizations in an effort to promote student leadership and involvement. It is a time where Bruriah students can explore their interests, discover new ones and engage in Bruriah’s student life in a more meaningful way.

Over 20 organizations were represented at the fair at their respective booths, where students were able to meet current members and learn about ways they can get involved. There are clubs like Tzedakah or Chesed for students interested in giving back to the community; AISAC for students who enjoy Israel activism; or Tefillah and Word Watch for students who are seeking self-improvement. There are even more niche organizations like Derech Briah, a club that is dedicated to bringing health and wellness initiatives throughout the school.

A key feature of Bruriah clubs is that they are all student-run, enabling students to cultivate their leadership capabilities and personal growth. Students at Bruriah know that if there is a club or committee they wish to organize that is not already represented, they are encouraged to take the initiative to start one. Junior Leeba Pariser, one of the heads of the Tefillah club, extolled the student clubs, explaining, ”they give you the ability to pursue your interests outside of the mandated curriculum. They really give you a space to pursue the things you’re passionate about.”

At Bruriah, these clubs not only contribute to the rich tapestry of student life, they also encourage friendships among students and encourage exploration in matters of interest outside the classroom.
