Bruriah students spent a meaningful Shabbos connecting as a school on their G.O. shabbaton last week with the theme of Eishes Chayil. With incredible words of Torah inspiration from Bruriah students and faculty, Shabbos was filled with beautiful insights and the weekend was further enhanced with guest speaker, Jackie Bitton. Greeted at the hotel by the Bruriah G.O., the girls began the fun-filled Shabbos with lunch and ruach, followed by pre-Shabbos preparations. After lots of pre-Shabbos pictures, the students enjoyed a beautiful kabalas Shabbos, delicious dinner, hilarious G.O. skits and meaningful grade onegs. The incredible Friday night atmosphere was matched by the Shabbos day lineup that included a rotating rabbi session focusing on the special chassadim of an Eishes Chayil, yummy lunch and a faculty skit. Shabbos concluded with a powerful kumzitz together with Mrs. Bitton. After a musical Havdala, the students came back to the dance floor decked out in their new Bruriah dri-fits and grade color, ready to enjoy the annual motzei Shabbos melava malka and chagiga! Each girl came out of the shabbaton with a grin from ear to ear, with lessons on how to incorporate the qualities of a true Eishes Chayil into their everyday lives. The shabbaton was one that the students will remember forever.
