Yom Hazikaron was commemorated in Bruriah Middle School with a special Zoom session. The girls had a chance to hear from several speakers who shared different perspectives. Rabbi and Mrs. Moshe Benisti made aliyah from New York 10 years ago and shared how Yom Hazikaron is commemorated in Israel, along with personal examples of what they do to show honor and appreciation for the soldiers. Daniel Zacks, who served in the Israeli Navy unit shared his story of how he made aliyah as a child, and what inspired him to feel passionate about serving. It was a big treat to have Ephraim Zacks join us live from his army base near Lebanon. Aviva Zacks shared how proud she is of her two sons, and what it is like to send a child off to the army. Everyone gained an appreciation of how hard Israeli soldiers work to protect our country.
