Linking Northern and Central NJ, Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester and CT

Bruriah High School and Middle School is proud to partner with Atzmi in introducing the My Best Self Project, a comprehensive program built upon Torah and hashkafa and supported by extensive research, to reduce the onset of eating disorders by promoting self-esteem, self-compassion, and body acceptance. The program includes interactive workshops for girls and support sessions for the adults in their lives, namely parents and educators. Bruriah’s experienced and trained guidance department facilitates the student workshops which emphasize positive body image, self-compassion, and emotion regulation.

“Atzmi’s holistic three-pronged approach of working with students, parents and faculty will create a stronger, more unified network around each student, reinforcing the lessons at every level, and establishing a more meaningful impact on all students at Bruriah,” shared Dr. Sarah Mandelbaum, director of Guidance.

The Atzmi program is generously cosponsored by the Jewish Federation of Greater Metrowest.
