After a year of cleaning and sanitizing everything in our lives, this new service delivers at the next level. Simply Cans, a residential cleaning and sanitizing company, specializes in cleaning outdoor trash cans throughout Bergen, Passaic, Essex, Union, Hudson and Morris Counties.

Zev Zuckerman, owner of Simply Cans, said the idea for his business came after he watched a similar service clean dirty trash cans in Lakewood. The Passaic native decided to launch the service in North Jersey, and so far, the feedback has been outstanding.

It is difficult and time consuming for homeowners to maintain their trash cans, which over time become quite disgusting. According to Zuckerman, customers are astounded by the before and after, many standing by to observe the cleaning process firsthand.

“I was amazed by the availability of such a service and to see it in action was truly a wonder,” said Teaneck resident Ruthy Bodner. “Zev and his Simply Cans crew were knowledgeable, professional and efficient. I was actually quite entertained during the process. The cans went from beyond dirty, to pristine in a matter of minutes. It’s not a popular job around the house, one that is often put off, but if you take pride in the upkeep of your home, it’s a service that one should not do without! I can’t recommend the Simply Cans experience highly enough.”

The process itself is simple. “Can cleaning follows sanitation pick up,” said Zuckerman, who asks customers to indicate the day and approximate time their garbage is removed so that cleaning can take place soon after. This way cans are empty and usually left at the curb before the cleaning truck arrives.

Simply Cans uses a specially designed truck that lifts two cans simultaneously over the back of the truck and sprays hot water into the cans in all directions to remove dirt and grime stuck inside. After cans are fully cleaned and sanitized, they are lowered to the ground for the driver to manually clean the exterior of the cans. Once fully washed and sanitized, cans are disinfected and deodorized with a water-based soap leaving them clean and spotless. The result is a trash can that looks and smells as good as new.

Simply Cans offers three options for can cleaning; a monthly plan, a quarterly plan and a one-time can cleaning. Customers can sign up for service online or by phone and the cleaning takes place curbside so there is no need for you to be home. If for any reason you need to change a scheduled cleaning, Zuckerman suggests letting them know 24 hours in advance and they will gladly reschedule the service for a more convenient time.
