Celebrate Shavuot at Chabad Of West Orange

Shavuot is the birthday of the giving of the Torah, and you’re invited to the party!

The holiday kicks off Sunday evening, June 1 with Chabad’s All-Night Learning in partnership with Congregation Ohr Torah, this year being held in their shul, 270 Pleasant Valley Way.

On Monday, June 2, all are invited to Chabad to hear the reading of the Ten Commandments at 11 a.m., followed by a delightful dairy luncheon generously sponsored by Super Duper Bagels and Jerusalem Catering, and an ice cream party at the conclusion of morning services.

On the second day of the holiday, June 3, Chabad will honor the memory of our loved ones with the Yizkor memorial service at 11:15 a.m., and in the afternoon, children and families from the community are invited to gather at Redwood Park at 3:30 p.m. for activities, games, refreshments, prizes, ices and an amazing race.

Shavuot is a holiday that brings people together to celebrate the giving of the Torah, our cherished heritage and tradition. It’s a time to pass that tradition on to our children and for everyone to celebrate the joy of Judaism.

Chabad of West Orange is located at 401 Pleasant Valley Way, West Orange.
