In a July 26 letter to members of Teaneck's Congregation Rinat Yisrael, Rabbi Yosef Adler announced that he would be stepping down after 42 years of service. At the helm of the beit knesset since 1979, Rabbi Adler helped build this vibrant pillar of the Teaneck community and now looks to take more time for his family, and spend some more time in Eretz Yisrael. The shul will begin the search for a new rabbi, with Rabbi Adler staying on to help with the transition, and then acting as rabbi emeritus.
