Women’s Initiative for Jewish Studies (WIJS) at Young Israel of New Rochelle will present Dr. Rachel Korazim on Sunday, February 21, at 9:30 a.m. (ET) on Zoom. Korazim will be the fifth speaker in the monthly scholarly programming offered by WIJS at YINR. She will speak on the subject “Land and Identity: An Exploration of Poetic Approaches to the Land of Israel.”
Born in Israel, Dr. Korazim is a Jewish education consultant in curriculum development for Israel and Holocaust education. She is one of the founders and directors of a special program for soldiers from disadvantaged backgrounds, and she was responsible for creating the educational framework and training teachers for the implementation of the program.
