Meet the Rabbis Of Camp Mesorah

(Courtesy of Camp Mesorah) Camp Mesorah is proud to have Torah as the driving force of camp. One of the camp’s greatest gifts is Rosh Kollel Rav Meir Goldwicht, who is a rosh yeshiva at Yeshiva University. Rav Goldwicht has transformed the camp with his shiurim, tishes and ruach since day one, when Camp Mesorah opened its doors. Together with the kollel in the center of camp, he has inspired thousands of staff members and campers throughout the years. He is available 24 hours a day for guidance and advice for every member of camp. It’s beautiful to watch how many campers join the kollel to learn, daven and participate in beautiful tisches.

Rav Ben Leybovich, rebbe at Mevaseret, has now joined the team for the second year as Rosh K.O.B.E (Koneh Olamo B’Kayitz Echad) and waiter program. Rav Ben and his learning program have had a tremendous impact on the camp as well. Last year, when many institutions had to close, he opened a yeshiva in Mesorah that allowed shana alef, shana bet as well as college age students to finish their year with Torah and chesed. The camp feels extreme pride at the Torah and chesed that is emanating from this beit midrash daily. The learning program invites staff, campers and Yachad participants for shiurim and chavrutas all day long.

Each one of these programs is joined together with Rav Goldwicht and Rav Ben. The camp programs, as well as the rabbis, join together with one mission: Torah, mitzvot and chesed. Thank you to Rav Goldwicht and Rav Ben for transforming our camp and instilling the values of yiddishkeit to everyone around them.
