Orlando—One of the nation’s most popular family winter destinations is about to become even more popular for kosher vacationers. Majestic Retreats is sponsoring a mid-winter program January 16-31 at the magnificent Rosen Plaza Hotel with its new kosher kitchen. Some are calling it the “kosher kingdom” of the world of fantasy.
The Rosen Resorts and Hotels will be utilizing its newly constructed 5,000-square foot state-of-the-art kosher kitchen, “Zayde’s Kosher Kitchen,” which is the new, modern, glatt kosher and mehadrin/chalav yisrael facility under the strict rabbinical supervision of both the Rabbinical Council of Florida (RCF) and the Orthodox Union (OU). This newest kosher enterprise is the brainchild of Harris Rosen, the founding president and CEO of the Rosen properties, with its seven modern and beautiful facilities, two of which are adjacent to the Orange County Convention Center.
In the mid-winter program, Majestic will be catering to the entire family with minyanim, shiurim, lectures, a 24-hour tea room, special programming for kids and discounts to one of the parks in Orlando. In addition to the mid-winter program, Majestic Retreats, headed by Avi Faskowitz, is also adding Rosen as a Passover destination to its flagship 14-year program at the Westin Beach Resort & Spa in Fort Lauderdale.
“We are very excited about our new partnership with the Rosen Plaza for both the mid-winter and Passover programs,” said Mr. Faskowitz. “For the first time, families vacationing in Orlando will be able to enjoy a luxurious first-rate hotel and a full glatt-kosher program within minutes of the famed parks in the area.” Mr. Keith Keiser, the director of catering at the Rosen Plaza Hotel, enthusiastically welcomed the partnership: “It is most fitting that our first major kosher programs for mid-winter and Passover should be with a seasoned, respected and professional program coordinator as Majestic Resorts.” For more information visit: www.majesticretreats.com.
