Schumer Boldly Rejects Obama Deal

We fully support the decision by New York Democrat Senator Chuck Schumer to oppose the President’s pending deal with Iran. The Senator’s decision was learned last Thursday.

Schumer, according to Politico, might have endangered his future leadership in the Senate for his stance.

Not in Israel, Not Anywhere

While Israel wants the attention of the world to look at its existential threat from the outside-in, namely Iran, it is also important that its government and people take a look at another threat from the inside-out.

Baking Jews With Mike Huckabee: When Is an Oven an Oven?

Last weekend former Arkansas Governor and GOP presidential candidate Mike Huckabee opened the oven door on President Obama’s Iran nuclear deal and let out a big blast of heat and blowback.

Watching Senator Kerry’s Rhetoric

There are nuances in speech. And there are not-so-subtle nuances.

Neo-Nazism and Freedom of Speech in England

British police made the correct decision to move an offensive neo-Nazi demonstration scheduled for this Shabbos afternoon out of a heavily populated Jewish neighborhood.

Murder in Houses of Worship

There is no way we can even begin to pretend we can’t feel the collective community pain endured after the hate-induced murders of nine worshipers at Emanuel African Methodist Church in Charleston, S.C. last week.

It is not a pain that stays in a nice compartment in an area where the Confederate Flag

A Summer Wish: Take Time to Enjoy

Typically in this space, we take on the issues of the world, Israel, nation and our own local Jewish communities. Much of the time, those stories are filled with positive messages such as hope and giving and caring. Sometimes, though, the angst of the community gets mentioned here.
