Englewood Mayor Wildes Welcomes Israeli Mayors, Highlights Jewish Unity Against Antisemitism

In connection with the World Zionist Organization’s Diaspora department, Englewood Mayor Michael Wildes recently hosted a delegation of Israeli mayors in his office. Nerya Meir, head of the Diaspora department, said that Wildes’ insights into the challenges facing the Jewish community, especially in the fight against antisemitism, were powerful and deeply appreciated by the entire delegation, and that his leadership, both as a public servant and as a committed member of the Jewish people, is a source of strength and encouragement. The mayors in attendance were Asaf Mintzer, head of the Elkana Regional Council; Yoram Shimon, mayor of Mevasseret Zion; Nissim Gozlan, mayor of Be’er Yaakov; Jackie Gongardi, deputy mayor of Be’er Yaakov; Arie Garala, head of the Bnei Ayish Regional Council; and Itamar Revivo, head of the Hof Ashkelon Regional Council.
