Learn the words in Hebrew to figure out the joke below:

You aked – בִּקַּשְׁתָּ

From your boss – מֵהַבּוֹס

Salary raised – הַעֲלָאָה בַּמַּשְׂכֹּרֶת

How – אֵיךְ

He reacted – הֵגִיב

Solution:

Jack asked Moti, Did you ask your manager for a salary raise? Yes, answered Moti and how did he respond? Surprisingly. WHAT? WHAT?

Teacher’s Corner: One of my students came to me and asked for a better reward for the workshop he presented in class.

I kindly explained that his reward reflected his job, but that I would give him the chance to resubmit the workshop and would be more than happy to reconsider his reward.

My student submitted his work again and did tremendously better. I was so excited to show him that he is capable of better.

My students want to bring the greatest works to present in class, not just because they want to please me, but because they want the adult in the room to help them understand how their efforts directly impact their success and achievement. Rewards are a form of feedback that provides the student with perceptions and feelings of competence and self-determination.

I like to motivate my students and make them establish greater goals. Motivation is key to a successful classroom.

One of my goals in class is to show that when you set yourself higher goals, you achieve better results. There is no limit to your achievement; The sky is the limit. It is all about trying to reach your goals.

Creating challenging goals in a motivating environment by activities and tasks, helps my students reach these dizzying heights.
