Kaplen JCC. A Bergen County Purim isn’t complete without the Rubach Family Purim Carnival at Kaplen JCC on the Palisades in Tenafly, which will occur on Sunday, March 1, from 1-4 p.m. Bring children in costumes where they can enjoy train rides, inflatables, crafts, games and prizes, character visits, cotton candy and more. Costume parade at 2:45 p.m. Carnival opens at 12 p.m. for families with children with special needs. Suggested entrance donation: $1 per person or a non-perishable food item to be donated to the Center for Food Action. All ride and game tickets sold on $25 cards for 30 tickets.

Lubavitch of Bergen County Purim Fest. Wednesday, March 4th at Ben Franklin Middle School (1315 Taft Rd, Teaneck) for a 6:30 P.M. Megillah reading followed by breakfast. Jewish Center of Teaneck presents Eitan Katz. There will be two 6:30 p.m. Megillah readings (one will be the main reading in the sanctuary with attendees in costume and carrying noisemakers and the other, a “raguah” quiet reading in the library.) The readings will be followed by a celebration at 9:30 p.m. featuring music by Eitan Katz and food, dancing costumes and prizes. The celebration is free and is hosted by Yeshivah Heichal Hatorah and the Jewish Center. The festivities will go on until midnight.

Bnot’s Purim Extravaganza at Congregation Bnai Yeshurun. Purim Night, March 4th. Magic show for children ages 3-7 at 6:30 p.m., followed by the Bnot Purim Chagiga, Featuring a live DJ, great food, ice cream bar, cotton candy, hot pretzels, magician, balloon animals, and more. Raffle prizes include a Kindle Fire, gift cards to the best stores all around town, and more. Prizes will be awarded to the best dressed couple, family, boy and girl. Cost per Family is $25. Celebrate Purim at Keter Torah. A Purim chagigah, sponsored by ATARA and featuring live music, great food, balloonists and more, will take place in the ballroom on Wednesday, March 4, after the 6:45 p.m. Megillah reading. Children in kindergarten and up are invited to a magic show coinciding with the Megillah reading in the main sanctuary. The nursery and pre-K groups will meet to make Happy Purim cards for delivery to nursing homes. Pre-K children are permitted at the show, at the discretion of their parents. All teens are invited to a teen Ma’ariv/Megillah reading in the Beit Midrash. Breakfast will be served following davening. Please make out checks for Matanot L’Evyonim to the Keter Torah Charity Fund.

Chabad on the Palisades for a Grand Purim Bash. March 4th Megillah reading at 6:30 P.M.—second reading at 9:30 P.M. Steve the Magician 6:30 p.m. No reservation required. Rinat Purim Chagiga and Rodeo Carnival. Following the main Shul Megillah reading, the Purim chaggigah will be rodeo style, complete with a full break-fast meal and popcorn, cotton candy, carnival g a.m.es and prizes, bounce house, and a mechanical bull.
