Dance Over to Cedar Market’s Expanded Deli Dept.

Cedar Market, home of the now-viral “Spontaneous Dancing In A Supermarket” video, is kicking off 2016 with excitement at its new deli department. The store, which is located at 646 Cedar Lane in Teaneck, NJ, now presents a full line of freshly sliced deli, homemade kugels and wraps, sandwiches, side dishes and more, with prices you can dance to.

The Spontaneous Dancing video is nearing one million views across Facebook, WhatsApp and the dozen or so sites, including the Jewish Link, that picked it up.

“The momentum and feedback has been unreal; so many amazingly positive comments from so many different types of neighborhoods across the world! There were people who said they will now be celebrating Chanukah every year; the video made the Channel 10 News in Israel; viewers have been walking over to our head butcher, floor manager and others, saying, ‘I saw you in the dancing video, that was so much fun!’” said Cedar Market’s Yossi Hollander.

No less exciting have been the rave reviews coming from deli customers enjoying the store’s newest department. “The feedback from customers has been terrific so far,” said Yehuda Leibowitz, a floor manager at Cedar Market. “Having a delicious deli and Grab N’ Go section has been super convenient for our customers and we’re excited to add to our growing menu in the coming days, weeks and months.”

Cedar Market even provided a tip on how customers can save time at the deli. “When entering Cedar Market to shop, dance over to the deli and place your order,” the crew at Cedar Market suggested. “Then, boogie through the aisles, do your shopping and return to the deli before you check out to pick up your completed deli order.”

“The word ‘toda’ means ‘thank you’ and we would like to say “Thank you” to the world for dancing with us. Let’s never stop dancing,” said Hollander.

Saving time and money while getting fresh deli? That’s a beat anyone can dance to.
