Kinderlach had a truly special morning spent with their grandparents, who traveled from near and far, including Chicago, Florida, Germany, London and Philadelphia! Together, they made beautiful Havdala candles and besamim bags, using Montessori practical life skills like rolling and tweezing. The children also practiced math by counting three wicks for each candle, and engaged their senses with the delightful fragrances of cinnamon and anise.

Once the crafts were complete, families enjoyed a joyful Shabbos party, singing favorite songs like “Shalom Aleichem” and “Od Avinu Chai.” It was such a meaningful opportunity to connect with students’ grandparents and share in this memorable, creative experience.
