Grandfather Offers Lessons in Light at the JEC Lower School

JEC lower school kindergarten students got a lesson on light yesterday from classmate Keira Lev’s grandfather, Mr. Danny Kaplan, who is a physics teacher at Matawan High School. Mr. Kaplan demonstrated that white light is made up of all the colors of the rainbow and gave each student a pair of special prism glasses through which they could see all the colors of the rainbow. Parents were reminded that the glasses may only be used indoors, as it is dangerous to look up at the sun while wearing them.
