Great Things Happen When Kids Take Over

We at The Jewish Link have always been aware of the varied ages of our readers. And while we know the schools and sports sections enjoy broad and special interest from adults (parents and grandparents) and kids (the stars themselves), we also understand that the front news and op-ed pages of our paper tend to be, in the words of Kids Link Takeover Editor Hannah Kratz, “boring grownuppy stuff.” So that’s why we’ve always encouraged and promoted a kids dvar Torah every week and sought out bits and pieces of content for our younger readers over the years. We also know that our younger readers love our comics, puzzles, games and memes and we hope that we can always keep them kid-friendly.

This week we took it to a whole new level by inviting all our younger readers to contribute themselves to our Kids Link Takeover. Hannah Kratz did a great job with the team in terms of getting people to send their content (including from her cousin Eitan), and she had a great time in the office firing the publisher of the paper (who has since been rehired, luckily).

We were blown away and really quite amazed by the quality of the content. We hope to make the Kids Takeover issue of the Kids Link an annual thing, but hey, we’ll do it as often as kids like. Keep sending in your news, articles, puzzles, quizzes and jokes to [email protected].
We love to hear from you!
