He’Atid Students Travel To Washington, D.C. to Advocate for Israel

Fourteen passionate seventh and eighth grade students from He’Atid’s Israel Advocacy Club recently returned from a meaningful one-day trip to Washington, D.C., where they joined peers from across Bergen County to deepen their understanding of Israel and the importance of advocacy.

Over the past several weeks, the students met weekly during lunch with educator Moreh Kfir Day, learning about Israeli culture, Zionism, antisemitism and the Israeli government. The trip, organized in partnership with CoJDS and AIPAC, gave students the unique opportunity to bring their classroom learning to life.

Highlights of the day included advocacy training, engaging discussions with AIPAC representatives, a visit to Capitol Hill and the chance to collaborate with students from other schools. The experience was a powerful way for these young advocates to represent both their school and their values in our nation’s capital.
