This past Shabbos, Heichal HaTorah’s entire student body and rebbeim enjoyed a schoolwide shabbaton in Camp Dora Golding as an end-of-the-year celebration. Buses departed Heichal on Friday, initiating the weekend with exciting multi-grade sports tournaments, swimming, boating, leisure time, breathtaking hikes and a pre-Shabbos toameha with delicious hot food. Shabbos began with powerful tefillos, divrei Torah from a wide variety of beloved rebbeim and a delicious seuda, followed by a special tish for each grade, filling the entire campus with energy and ruach. Shabbos day began with a beautiful Shabbos morning Shacharis, including a drasha from Rav Aryeh Westreich and Rav Pesach Skulnick. Following the seuda were additional shiurim, and then some Shabbos menucha.

The afternoon was packed with fun activities, learning, an action-packed game show led by Dr. Ari Klein, as well as an enriching panel discussion where rebbeim and teachers shared personal stories about their lives before Heichal, adding a personal element to their kesher with the talmidim. Shabbos came to a close with inspiring divrei Torah and powerful zemiros throughout the entire Yeshiva. The talmidim headed home Motzei Shabbos after a beautiful weekend of camaraderie and ruach, leaving them with a Shabbos to remember.
