In-Fighting Is Not the Answer

For the first time in many decades, the United States, the entire Western World, Israel and world Jewry are under concerted existential threats, yet respond by bitter, divisive in-fighting among themselves.

At home, the United States is besieged by a divisive amalgam of intersectional Marxist-like hordes under individual banners like liberal, progressive, woke, LGBTQ, Black Lives Matter, unlimited immigration, and Free Palestine. The results are anti-American, antisemitic mobs
running wild, rampaging among Democratic-controlled inner cities, and college campuses. Their common unifying feature now is Trump-hatred, where Trump is labelled as a Hitler and blamed for all the world’s ills. This has gained ascendancy in the last 25 years, but began with Obama’s openly stated goal of “fundamentally transforming” America from a free-enterprise democracy into a totalitarian socialist state.

In the rest of the world, the UN, the International Court of Justice, and most if not all Muslim and Christan nations are solidly antisemitic, anti-Israel and pro-Palestinian. In the Pacific arena, China is becoming dominant, rivaling and possibly surpassing, American military might and economic influence in that area. In Europe, the European Union, NATO and former Russian states are squabbling among themselves, trying to decide what their future should be, while in the meantime absorbing millions of mostly Muslim immigrants. In the Middle East, a budding, nuclear-capable Iran and its proxies are aligned with Russia as its main military supplier and benefactor, pitting them against Israel and American influence in that region.

In Israel, and the world as a whole even before and certainly after Oct. 7, where it is now in the midst of a long and costly war, many Jews still maintain a “liberal” bias and resist Trump and Netanyahu in their quest to get rid of Hamas, Hezbolla, and the Houthis as lawless terrorist organizations.

The road ahead is difficult, but is being made more so by unconscionable in-fighting and divisiveness.
