Israel Yemin Ordre Choir Interacts With JKHA/RKYHS Students

Members of the Yemin Orde choir made a visit to JKHA/RKYHS while in the United States for a concert tour. Yemin Orde is an Israeli youth village where teenagers who come from all over the world in need of support find a home, a family and a future. Yemin Orde was originally founded as a safe haven and home for Holocaust orphans and immigrant children after the War.

The teens visited the RKYHS seniors’ Hebrew classes where the students got acquainted through conversations in Hebrew and asked each other questions about themselves. The RKYHS students asked their visitors many questions about their life, school, the army and the culture in Israel. They had the opportunity to discuss Israeli politics, the relationship between Israelis and Arabs and general challenges that these teens face in Israel.

The Yemin Orde choir teenagers then joined some middle school students for a lunchtime singalong filling the cafeteria with beautiful music.
