JCC Mid-Westchester Hosts Israel Film Center Festival Through June 12

The JCC Mid-Westchester has partnered with Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan this year to host the Israel Film Center Festival, which runs every June and is the largest festival of Israeli films in New York. In the midst of this time of conflict in the region, the JCCMW will screen a selection of award-winning films presenting visions of human stories from a thriving artistic industry on the Shasha Stage in their Bendheim Performing Arts Center.

The festival kicks off on Friday, June 6 with a matinee showing of “Pink Lady.” On Sunday, June 8, “Highway 65” will be screened, with a talkback between the film’s director, Maya Dreifuss, and Hila Madar Itzkowitz, senior community shlicha for Westchester and director of the Westchester Shinshinim.

“The Shoshani Riddle” will be featured on Tuesday, June 10, followed by a Q&A session with director Michael Grynszpan. The closing night of the festival will be on Thursday, June 12, when there will be a reception prior to the screening of “The Property” and a Q&A session with Dana Modan, the film’s director.
