The JEC’s first graders recently celebrated their hard work and creativity at their First Grade Publishing Party, a culmination of their year-long journey to become authors. Using the Writing Revolution framework, students learned how to organize their ideas, write clearly and revise their work through multiple drafts. The Publishing Party highlighted the process of writing, not just the final product. Students wrote about topics close to their hearts and proudly shared pieces that reflect their growth as thinkers and storytellers. JEC is so proud of their budding authors.
