JEC JV Dominates to Defeat MTA, 65-45

In an exciting high school basketball matchup, the JEC Thunder pulled away from MTA with a commanding second-half performance, advancing to a 2-0 record on the season.

The game started off with intense back-and-forth action in the first quarter, but MTA seized control in the second quarter. They went on a hot streak from beyond the arc, draining four consecutive 3-pointers to surge ahead with a 20-11 lead. However, JEC fought back and managed to close the gap, reclaiming the lead to end the half up 24-21.

The second half marked a stark contrast from the earlier quarters. JEC came out strong in the third, showcasing a dominant offensive display as they poured in 26 points, pulling ahead with a commanding 50-31 lead by the end of the quarter. The fourth quarter saw JEC maintain their momentum, cruising through to the final whistle with the lead stretching as far as 28 points. The game ended with a decisive 65-45 victory for JEC.

Aharon Rozehzadeh led JEC’s offense, putting up an impressive 20 points, while Yonaton Feit contributed 16 points of his own. The team’s powerful performance solidified their unbeaten start to the season, leaving them with a 2-0 record as they look to build on their early success.
