JEC Lower and Middle School Have Color War

Excitement was in the air as JEC students in both the elementary and middle schools participated in Color War. The school divided into four teams, based off the Arba Kanfot HaAretz, the four corners of the world, Yama, Kedma, Tzafona and Negba. They competed in cheers, sports, trivia, wacky races, video commercials, see-run-build, divrei Torah, Hungry Hungry Hippos, stomp, banner, menschlichkeit and more. Led by the eighth graders, children in grades one through eighth had multiple opportunities to shine throughout the fun-filled days. Their exuberant smiles reflected the energy of the red, orange, yellow and green teams.

Adding an extra dimension to the spirit, teamwork and collaboration, an anonymous supporter pledged money for every point earned throughout the events, to be donated towards tzedaka. Each student, on every team, arose victorious in being a catalyst of the mitzvah of tzedaka.

The energy and ruach of the day were a true expression of mishenichnas Adar, marbim b’simcha!
