This week’s Second Grade Habitat Fair was a true celebration of learning, creativity and growth. What began as Mrs. Cantor’s vision to enrich the curriculum has blossomed into a dynamic, immersive experience where students proudly showcased their knowledge of animals and their habitats. Since the first day of school, students have been developing key academic skills—reading fluency, research, clear writing and independent work—that brought their projects to life. With the support of The Writing Revolution and PAF, JEC’s enhanced literacy instruction has resulted in remarkable growth across the board. Guided closely by Mrs. Cantor, her dedicated assistant Mrs. Sarasohn and the Literacy Coordinator Mrs. Bienenfeld, each student took ownership of their learning journey, selecting an animal and creating an informative, beautifully designed display. Visitors enjoyed exploring four vibrant habitats, engaging in a fun scavenger hunt and taking home brochures and reusable bags. JEC is so proud of their students and thrilled to share their accomplishments with their school community!
