One of the many activities taking place at the Chabad Jewish Center of South Brunswick is perhaps Central New Jersey’s only grassroots business association in a Jewish setting—the Jewish Business Network (JBN).

Meeting early (7:30 a.m.) on a Thursday morning at the Chabad building, the JBN attracted 14 participants (of its 25 regular members) at its March 2025 session. Attendees included Mason Resnick, photographer and photo restoration; Randy Cohen, real estate appraisals; Al Woller and Phil Rothenberg, Oppenheimer Investing; Ken Freeman, chiropractor; Scott “Buggy” Linde, Green Rodent Restoration; Lew Zimbind, mobile buyer of gold, platinum, silver and precious gems; Howard Fried, public adjuster; Eric Morse, loan officer for Movement Mortgage; and Andrew Cerame, ‘Do Not Throw It Away’ Junk Removal and Estate Cleanouts. JBN is coordinated by Rabbi Levi Asimov, co-director of the Chabad Jewish Center; financial adviser Al Woller; and appraiser Randy Cohen.

Gabrielle L. Strich, Esq., makes a presentation at the March 20 JBN meeting.

Each meeting of the JBN, held in a warm and relaxed manner, features brief introductions to their businesses by each participant and a longer presentation by one member. Gabrielle L. Strich, Esq.m spoke at the March meeting about her Monroe Township law firm’s work in preparing wills and working with executors and debtors. Each meeting also includes a brief dvar Torah by Rabbi Asimov and a post-meeting opportunity for attendees to put on tefillin with help from the rabbi.

JBN is open to all Jewish business leaders and professionals who wish to enhance their business skills, establish great connections and meet other like-minded men and women in an informal social environment. Jews of all affiliations and backgrounds are welcome.

Resnick of Highland Park said that his participation in JBN has led to new clients and new business for his photography and photo restoration company.

While I was in the building, Rabbi Asimov treated me to a quick tour of the newly expanded and renovated facility. The spacious and well-lit sanctuary easily seats dozens and recently hosted a capacity crowd for Purim, while the social hall next door hosted the JBN meeting with plenty of room to spare. Two large classrooms downstairs offer lots of space for study and play. Rabbi Asimov noted that the renovated building received its certificate of occupancy the morning before Yom Kippur 2024 and currently hosts a growing weekly Hebrew school with 23 students.
