(Courtesy of JFNNJ) In honor of Memorial Day, it’s traditional to place American flags on the graves of U.S. veterans—and this year, Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey was proud to help lead that effort in our Jewish cemeteries. In partnership with the Bergen County Division of Veteran Services, Federation mobilized 30 students from The Frisch School to place flags at Cedar Park and Beth El cemeteries, including one student who paid tribute at her own great-grandfather’s grave. Thank you to Bergen County Commissioner Tracy Silna Zur for helping to make this meaningful moment possible. We honor their sacrifice—and remember them always.
