Students in JKHA second grade were very excited to celebrate Earth Day. They learned about the 3R’s (Reduce/Reuse/Recycle) and why it is so important. Through books, videos and discussions, they learned about the importance of keeping our planet healthy and clean. In addition, the class wanted to do something and make a difference. Students brainstormed ideas and ultimately decided to clean up around the school and playground. This was a great opportunity for them to put what they learned into effect in our school community.
