The JKHA eighth graders enjoyed a jam-packed three days in Washington, DC and environs. Students had the opportunity to see important sites while bonding as a grade before their upcoming advancement. They began their trip in Baltimore at Ft McHenry National Monument and the National Aquarium before heading to a Baltimore Orioles game. Over the next two days they visited the National Holocaust Museum with a special introduction by JKHA/RKYHS grandparent and museum docent Mr. Stephen Leeds, took a tour of the Monuments, visited the White House and took in the Museum of American History. They also had the opportunity to explore Israel advocacy with AIPAC and have a dinner boat cruise around the sites.
