To kick off the first debate of the year, middle schoolers debated the following resolution: “Voting in the United States should be mandatory for all people over the age of 18.” Students have been coming every Tuesday to work on the speeches, crosses and rebuttals. Their hard work and diligence helped score the overall win for JKHA in their debate against Yeshivat Noam and North Shore Hebrew Academy. In addition, JKHA students won first place speaker and first place team.
