(Courtesy of JLE) The JLE (Jewish Learning Experience of Bergen County) held its 37th annual fundraising dinner last week to celebrate three people connected to the organization. Rabbi Justin Wexler was recognized as the immediate past director after serving for four years. Leah Mizrahi of Teaneck was celebrated as an active participant who often brings her mother Mira to events with her. Dr. Richard Seaman, who lives in New York City, was honored for his contributions as an a cappella singer for the JLE at numerous events in Teaneck. Dr. Seaman also sang his hit “Mechitza in the Middle” at the dinner.

The JLE is a kiruv organization based in Teaneck serving Jews of all backgrounds. Its mission is to reacquaint Jewish adults with their religious heritage through a variety of services, events, classes and meals. Since its inception, the JLE has touched the lives of more than 10,000 unaffiliated families in Bergen County. For more information, contact JLE’s current director, Rabbi Jesse Shore, at [email protected] or
